i just finished watching a documentary posted over on google videos about the start of the hippie culture in san francsico, california and how it changed the US. you can see everything from the popular bands of the time like the beatles and the grateful dead, the drugs of the time like LSD and the more sinister characters of the era like charles manson you can check it out at the link i posted below.
